Gray, David, 1870-1968

David Gray (1870-1968) was born in Buffalo, New York. He graduated from Harvard University in 1892, and received a Doctor of Letters from Bowdoin College in 1925. He married Maude Livingston Hall Waterbury, an aunt to Eleanor Roosevelt, in 1914. Between 1893 and 1899, he worked as a reporter and editorial writer for several Rochester and Buffalo newspapers.
